Dr. Shipp graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Shipp had completed her internship at Pacific Animal Hospital and decided to join our staff in June 2014.
She has 3 cats, Leo, Sylvester, and Nemo and one dog named Henry.
In 2017, Dr. Shipp and her husband welcomed their first child, Tate, into the world! Dr. Shipp enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her pets, and watching Cardinals baseball!
Dr. Jones graduated with his Doctrine of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri College in 1970. Dr. Jones began working at Pacific Animal Hospital in 1983. In 1984, Dr. Jones decided to purchase Pacific Animal Hospital. In 1999 Dr. Jones purchased Salty Dog Grooming & Boarding which is now known as Pacific Animal Hospital's Grooming and Boarding. In 2004 Dr Jones joined the hospital and the boarding and grooming to one location at 450 Flier Dr.
His expertise is in companion animal medicine and numerous surgical procedures. Dr. Jones is very highly recommended in emergency medical procedures. He enjoys working on his farm in southeast Missouri, spending time with his wife, Jo Ann, along with his children and grandchildren.
Dr. Sparks completed her undergraduate studies at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree with dual majors in Biomedical Science and AgriBusiness/Animal Science with a Chemistry minor. She worked as a Veterinary Technician for 5 years during that time. She continued her education at the University of Missouri in Columbia and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She has many interests, especially surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, and advanced imaging.
Dr. Sparks has also been serving in the U.S. Army National Guard since 2000 in the Military Police. She is currently a Sergeant First Class in a Military Police Company. She has been deployed to Kosovo, Iraq, Qatar, and Guatemala, and mobilized for several tornado reliefs in Missouri and Hurricane Katrina.
When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Sparks enjoys anything outdoors including hiking/backpacking, kayaking, cycling, and playing/hiking with her dogs.
Dr. Hezel graduated of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. Dr. Hezel joined the Pacific Animal Hospital team in the fall of 1999. During his years of experience he has excelled in companion animal medicine and surgery. He enjoys working with and helping pets with allergies.
In his spare time Dr. Hezel enjoys traveling and he loves hunting. He has several hunting dogs; Byrdee, Clay, Skeet, Sporting, and Trap. He also has two rescue dogs named Click and Goose. He has been to several different states and has even hunted in other countries!
Dr. Hezel enjoys spending time with his wife, his one daughter, and his adorable new granddaughter.
